Perhaps you have seen the Viper on the street; it is a new, classic American sports car with a loud, 450 hp V-10 engine. This limited edition car is built by Chrysler at the Conner Assembly Plant using a unique series of work stations instead of the conventional assembly line.
Highly skilled technicians assemble the car using some 50 modules and sub-assemblies. There are no inspectors or repair stations; they do it right the first time.
ASM's Round Table Committee has arranged a tour of this facility for 1:00 p.m., November 14, 1996. We thank Subi Dinda and Chuck Rice for lining up this very special tour. Call the ASM office at (586)573-0700 or e-mail for reservations and a map to the facility. There is limited space, only the first 30 people can be accommodated, so make your reservations.
