Technical Seminar, May 10-11, 1999


"Residual Stress: Fundamentals, Measurement, and Control"

The Detroit Chapter of ASM International will hold its annual educational symposium on May 10 and 11, 1999 at the Michigan State University Conference Center, 811 West Square Lake Rd., Troy, MI, with registration beginning at 7:30 AM.

The topic for this year's symposium is: "Residual Stress: Fundamentals, Measurement, and Control." This symposium brings together a panel of 12 accomplished scientists and technologists in the field of residual stress for presentations on various aspects of the field, ranging from fundamentals of residual stress in materials, to unique measurement and control technologies such as neutron diffraction and laser shock peening.

Cost of the symposium for pre-registration by May 5 is as follows:

ASM or ESD Affiliate Member: $225.00
Non-members: $250.00
Student (with I.D.) $25.00

Limited on-site registrations will be accommodated on a "space-available" basis:

ASM or ESD Affiliate Member: $235.00.
Non-member: $260.00
Student $25.00
