| | Sustaining Members
Sustaining members are a critical part of the success of ASM-Detroit. They provide both a continued core presence at Chapter activities, and an increased level of financial support. In return, they enjoy the goodwill and camaraderie, and the satisfaction of helping to educate young materials scientists. Their companies will receive the following publicity at no additional charge: - Listing in ASM-Detroit's web site, and a link to the company's web site (see below)
- A Sustaining Member lapel pin free of charge!
- A one-paragraph description of the company in the MicroExaminer
- Recognition at the Sustaining Members' Technical Meeting in April, including honoring of the recipient of the Sustaining Members' Meritorious Scholarship, and awards for membership anniversaries
- Special recognition in two sections of the Yearbook
- An engraved brass-on-walnut plaque which is displayed at the Technical Meetings and at the Golf Outing
The cost of a Sustaining Membership is only $175 and includes both a company and one individual membership. You are essentially getting both of these memberships and the benefits described above for less than the price of 2 individual memberships. The first step toward becoming a Sustaining Member is calling Caryn Ruzich in the Detroit Chapter office at (586) 573-0700. Do it soon!
